Blue recycling bags for kitchen use

These 13 gallon blue drawstring bags arrive in a 60 count pack for collecting recyclable items in tall kitchen bins. Each bag measures 27 L x 23.75 W inches and uses 0.74 mil thick polyethylene material. The unscented design suits households that sort recycling separately from general waste.

Replaces generic liners when local programs

Switching is worth it when a municipality or recycling center specifies blue bags for participation. The drawstring closure speeds removal compared to twist tie or flap closures on basic liners. Buyers who need compostable or scented liners will not find those features here.

Holds shape during daily fill cycles

Polyethylene construction at 0.74 mil resists tearing when loaded with bottles, cans and cardboard up to the 13 gallon capacity. The open bottom seal allows the bag to expand fully inside standard tall kitchen cans. Thinner bags may split under similar sustained loads.

Questions about this item

Will the 27-inch by 23.75-inch bags fit my standard 13-gallon kitchen can?

Each bag measures 27 L x 23.75 W inches and has a 24-inch circumference, matching common tall kitchen cans that hold 13 gallons.

How do I secure the drawstring without tearing the 0.74 mil polyethylene?

Gather the top edges evenly, pull both drawstring cords tight, then tie a single knot; the 0.0188 mm film resists splitting when tension is spread across the hem.

When should I replace a bag that has held wet recyclables?

Swap the bag once liquids pool at the bottom seal or the blue polyethylene shows stretching, typically after one full 13-gallon load.
