Minimalist Tripod Stool for Outdoor Use

The Amazon Basics Tripod Stool is a collapsible seat built for camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. It weighs 1.7 lb and supports up to 225 lb. The frame uses steel with a 100% polyester fabric cover made from GRS certified recycled post-consumer polyester. No assembly is required.

Suits Lightweight Pack Carriers.

This stool fits users who prioritise minimal packed size and low weight on the trail. The folded dimensions of 3.2 x 3.2 x 24.4 inches slip inside or strap onto a backpack. Buyers who want a larger seat surface, a backrest, armrests or a higher sitting height for extended comfort around a base camp should look at something else.

Adjustable Carry Strap Changes Transport.

The included adjustable strap lets you carry the folded stool over a shoulder or attach it to a pack, turning a 24.4 inch long bundle into a hands free load. The strap does not alter the unfolded footprint of 15.2 x 15.2 inches or the 19.5 inch seat height. Fabric certification confirms recycled content but does not affect load rating or weather resistance.

Questions about this item

What surface area does the 15.2 x 15.2 inch base need to stay stable?

The triangular footing structure requires a flat, level patch at least 15.2 inches wide in each direction so all three feet sit firmly without rocking.

Will the 1.7 lb folded stool fit inside my 24-litre daypack?

Folded to 3.2 x 3.2 x 24.4 inches it slides into most daypack main compartments or straps to the outside using the adjustable carry straps.

How do I confirm the 225-pound capacity is holding correctly after unfolding?

Sit centred on the 19.5-inch-high seat; the steel frame should stay rigid with no leg splay and the polyester fabric should remain taut without permanent stretch.
