Wireless 2.4 GHz barcode imager

The Ambir BR300 is a cordless barcode scanner that pairs with its included 2.4 GHz USB charging station for reliable data transfer and all-day battery life. It reads 1D, 2D and QR codes from printed labels, wristbands, documents or mobile screens using an integrated imager. The IP52-rated housing resists dust and water splashes, making it suitable for outdoor or industrial environments. Setup takes only minutes and requires minimal training for new operators.

Healthcare logistics retail and field work

This scanner suits clinics scanning patient wristbands, warehouses processing inventory, logistics desks tracking shipments and membership counters checking QR passes. It also fits small businesses needing occasional high-volume scanning without a tethered workstation. Buyers who need a fixed-mount presentation scanner or a device rated for full wash-down environments should look at other form factors. The BR300 is not designed for continuous conveyor-line mounting or extreme temperature ranges beyond its IP52 rating.

All-day scanning on a single charge

The charging station keeps the scanner powered through a full shift of high-volume reads across PDF417, 1D, 2D and QR symbologies. Battery life comfortably handles thousands of scans per day in typical retail, healthcare or warehouse workflows. Extended back-to-back sessions without returning to the cradle will eventually deplete the cell and require a recharge cycle. The 2.4 GHz link maintains stable communication within normal indoor and outdoor working distances.

Questions about this item

What host interface does the BR300 charging station require on my computer?

The station connects through a standard USB port, so any PC, laptop or terminal with a free USB socket will recognise the scanner immediately.

Can the BR300 read barcodes printed on labels I already use with an older 1D-only scanner?

Yes, the imager reads both 1D and 2D symbologies including PDF417 and QR codes, so existing 1D labels scan without any change to your workflow.

How do I confirm the scanner is paired and ready after placing it in the charging station?

When the scanner seats in the 2.4 GHz station the charging contacts engage and the unit powers on, indicating an active wireless link and a charged battery.
