Ambir DS690 barcode scanner for document workflows

The Ambir DS690 is a desktop barcode scanner built for offices that process paper documents and need reliable data capture. It reads one-dimensional and two-dimensional codes from printed pages or screens and connects through a standard USB interface for plug-and-play operation. The compact footprint suits reception desks, mailrooms and point-of-service counters.

USB interface limits cable length and host power

USB power restricts the scanner to cable runs within the specification maximum, so workstations farther than five metres need an active extension or powered hub. The host port must supply the rated current; low-power laptop ports or unpowered hubs can cause intermittent reads. No wireless or network option is included, so mobile or multi-station deployments require a separate connectivity solution.
