Questions about this item

How is the SA805IX-FP maintenance kit installed in the DS820IX or DS830IX scanner, and what step is often missed?

Open the ADF cover, remove the worn feed roller and separation pad, then insert the new kit components until they click securely into place; the step often missed is resetting the scanner's internal maintenance counter via the control panel so the device recognises the fresh parts.

Which components in the SA805IX-FP kit will need replacement again, and how can I tell when they are worn?

The kit contains an ADF feed roller and separation pad; both wear with scanning volume and should be replaced again when the scanner shows a maintenance alert or when double-feeds and paper skew become frequent.
