Built for 4K gaming

The AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT Reference card targets enthusiasts who want 16 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus. Its 5120 CUDA cores run at a 2100 MHz base clock and can boost to 2310 MHz. The design suits high-refresh 4K play and heavy content-creation workloads.

Simple two-slot install

The reference board follows the standard PCIe 4.0 x16 form factor, so it drops into any compatible slot without adapters. A single 8-pin power connector feeds the GPU; ensure your PSU cables reach cleanly. The I/O bracket supplies one HDMI, two DisplayPort 1.4a and one USB-C port for direct headset hook-up.

Check power and chassis room

Verify that your power supply delivers enough 12 V current for the card’s total board power. Measure the distance from the rear bracket to any drive cage or front fan to confirm the dual-slot length clears. Confirm your motherboard BIOS is current for full PCIe 4.0 link speed.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the card is running at the 2310 MHz boost clock after setup?

Use GPU monitoring software to observe the core frequency under load; it should reach 2310 MHz when the 5120 stream processors are fully utilised.

What cables or adapters are included in the box versus what I must buy separately?

The reference card provides one HDMI, two DisplayPort 1.4a and one Type-C output; cables for those connectors are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which memory capacity version of the RX 6950 XT should I choose for 4K gaming?

This model is only offered with 16 GB of GDDR6 on a 256-bit bus, so there is no alternative capacity to select.
