It contains two maintenance-free sealed lead-acid batteries rated at 6 volts and 10 amp-hours. The unit arrives pre-charged for immediate deployment.

As a sealed lead-acid battery cartridge the unit generates no operational noise and draws no power while on standby inside the UPS. Heat output is limited to normal chemical discharge characteristics during backup operation.
