Signal Splitter for 1/4" Stereo

This nickel-plated adapter converts a single 1/4" stereo male plug into two 1/4" stereo female sockets. It is built for musicians, engineers and installers who need to duplicate a line-level or headphone signal without soldering custom cables. Rugged construction protects the contacts during frequent patching in studio, stage or fixed-installation racks.

Replaces Improvised Y-Cables

The adapter removes the need for hand-wired splitters or bulky multi-cable looms when feeding one source to two destinations such as parallel amplifier channels or a recorder plus a monitor amp. It is not suited for summing two outputs into one input or for applications requiring isolated ground paths to eliminate hum loops.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 1/4" stereo plug need to seat fully?

The nickel housing adds minimal depth, so allow roughly the plug length plus a few millimetres behind the panel for the cable bend radius.

Which step do users miss when wiring the two female jacks?

Tip, ring and sleeve must each be soldered to the matching lug on both sockets; crossing ring and sleeve on one jack is the common error.
