American Standard Rutledge ReadyLatch Pack

This pack contains two white round toilet seats from the Rutledge range. Each seat uses the ReadyLatch hinge system so the seat locks securely in place and can be lifted off from above for cleaning. The Quiet-Close mechanism lowers both lid and seat slowly to prevent slamming. Designed for standard round-front bowls, the seats suit households wanting a simple, tool-light upgrade.

Grip-Tight mounting limits

Installation hardware fastens entirely from above the bowl, which speeds up fitting but requires access to the top of the mounting holes. If the bowl design blocks that access, the supplied hardware cannot be used. The ReadyLatch hinge holds the seat firmly when latched, yet releases with a single motion for removal. No adhesive or special tools are needed beyond what is included.

Plastic construction and bumpers

The seats are moulded from white plastic with Grip-Tight bumpers that grip the bowl rim to reduce side-to-side shift. The material resists chipping and fading under normal bathroom cleaning routines. Because the bumpers are integrated, there are no loose pads to lose. The round profile matches standard round bowls; elongated bowls will not fit this shape.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the single seat or the pack of two for my bathroom?

The 72 measurement refers to the overall packaging dimension; the seat itself is designed for standard round bowls.

How does the ReadyLatch hinge work when I need to remove the seat for cleaning?

The ReadyLatch hinge provides a positive lock that securely holds the seat in position, yet allows easy removal for cleaning or adjusting the fit.
