What this scale measures

The American Weigh 01scale-15kg is a digital kitchen scale with a 33-pound capacity and 1-gram graduation. It weighs in grams, ounces and pounds on an LCD touch screen. A USB-C rechargeable battery and two AAA cells power the unit. The platform measures 7.5 by 5.5 inches and the body is yellow plastic.

Who should use it and who should not

Home cooks portioning ingredients for meal prep, baking or brewing will find the tare function and five unit modes practical. The auto-off feature saves charge during repeated use. Buyers who need a higher maximum load or a completely stainless-steel housing should look at other models.

The specification that decides fit

The 33-pound maximum capacity with 1-gram readout accuracy is the single figure that determines whether this scale suits your workflow. If your typical batches stay within that range the resolution is sufficient; larger batches will require a scale with a higher limit.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the scale reads correctly after placing it on the counter?

Place a known 1 g test weight on the 7.5 in stainless steel panel; the LCD should show exactly 1 g, confirming the four load sensors are calibrated.

What comes in the box and what must I supply?

The scale, a USB-C rechargeable lithium-polymer cell and two AAA cells are included; no extra accessories are required.

Which capacity version should I choose for meal-prep batches?

The single 33 lb / 15 kg model covers all listed cooking tasks, so no other capacity option exists.
