Capacity and increments

The American Weigh EK9690-NF-G digital kitchen scale measures up to 11 pounds with a 1 gram resolution. It displays weight in grams, ounces, pounds, millilitres and fluid ounces. A 2.1 inch LCD panel shows the reading clearly. The yellow ABS plastic body measures 8.1 by 6.1 by 0.5 inches.

Upgrade from basic scoops

This scale replaces volume cups and guesswork when a recipe demands mass accuracy down to 1 gram. The jump is worth it for bakers who need repeatable dough hydration, for coffee brewers dialling in dose and yield, and for anyone tracking macros by weight rather than estimate.

Build integration

A CR2032 coin cell powers the unit and is included in the box. The tare function lets you zero the display with a container in place so multiple ingredients can be added sequentially. Auto-off after three minutes of inactivity preserves the battery. A slim profile allows the scale to hang on a hook or slide into a shallow drawer.

Questions about this item

What are the overall dimensions of the scale so I know if it fits my drawer?

The scale measures 8.1 x 6.1 x 0.5 inches, giving it a slim profile that stores easily in a drawer or hangs on a hook.

How do I install the battery and what mistake should I avoid?

Insert the included CR2032 cell with the positive side facing up; the common error is placing it upside down, which prevents the scale from powering on.

When will I need to replace the CR2032 battery?

Replace the CR2032 coin cell when the low-power indicator appears on the 2.1 inch LCD or the display dims during use.
