What this scale is and who it serves

The American Weigh F-MSB01 is a Bluetooth bath scale with a 500 lb capacity and an 11.8 inch square platform. It measures body weight plus 13 composition metrics including BMI, body fat, muscle mass, body water, bone mass and metabolic age. Data syncs to the FITINDEX app for trend tracking and multiple user profiles.

Who should buy it and who should not

Households that want one scale for every member will appreciate the athlete mode, baby mode and unlimited profiles. Buyers who need a scale without app connectivity or Bluetooth pairing should look elsewhere. Anyone requiring a weighing platform larger than 11.8 inches will need a different model.

The specification that decides fit

Maximum capacity is 500 lb (225 kg) with a 0.2 lb (0.05 kg) division on a 300 mm square tempered-glass platform. Power comes from three AAA alkaline batteries. If your household includes users above 500 lb or you need a finer resolution than 0.05 kg, this is not the right scale.
