The American Weigh FITINDEX FA-03 uses eight electrodes to perform segmental bio-impedance analysis across five body segments. It reports up to fifty composition metrics including body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, bone mass, protein, metabolic age and multiple circumference values. The platform supports a maximum load of 400 lbs and resolves weight changes to 0.2 lb.

Bluetooth Connectivity and App Limits

Data syncs to the FITINDEX app via Bluetooth and requires iOS 9.0 or later, or Android 4.5 or later. The app can store more than thirty individual user profiles and shares readings with Apple Health, Samsung Health and Apple Watch. Pairing is initiated from the app’s device-management screen and the scale powers on automatically when stepped on.

Powered by Three AAA Alkaline Cells

The scale operates on three AAA alkaline batteries supplied by the user. If the display fails to activate or measurements are not detected, the manufacturer advises replacing the full set with a fresh, reliable brand. A single battery can be removed for five seconds to reset the Bluetooth link without erasing stored profiles.
