Compact indoor climate monitor

The American Weigh TP49 is a small digital thermometer and hygrometer that shows temperature and humidity on a clear LCD. It is designed for anyone who wants quick insight into room conditions without a bulky device. The yellow finish makes it easy to spot on a shelf or fridge.

Check power and placement before ordering

The unit runs on a single 3A battery rated for 18 to 24 months of use, so verify you have a spare or easy access to replacements. Decide whether you will use the tabletop stand, the magnetic back or the hanging mount, and confirm the chosen surface suits one of those three methods.

Fits on a desk, fridge or wall with no wiring

At 2.2 cm by 6 cm by 7.8 cm the monitor sits unobtrusively in a kitchen, greenhouse, baby room or office. It needs no external sensor, cable or network connection, freeing you from routing wires while still delivering readings every 10 seconds.

Questions about this item

Does the TP49 include the 3A battery or must I buy it separately?

The unit ships with one 3A battery installed, giving 18 to 24 months of operation before replacement is needed

Is the yellow TP49 functionally different from the white TP49-W model?

No, the yellow version shares the same ±1 °F/°C temperature accuracy, ±2 % to 3 % RH humidity accuracy, 10 second refresh rate and three mounting options

What does the ±1 °F/°C accuracy mean when I place the hygrometer in a room?

The displayed temperature will be within one degree of the actual room temperature, and the humidity reading will be within two to three percentage points of the true value
