14 inch wooden chess set with metal pieces

This AMEROUS 19189 chess set measures 14 inches square and includes a solid wood board with 64 squares. The metal pieces feature a 2.5 inch king with flocked bases for stability and surface protection. It is suited for indoor and outdoor play at home, school or office.

Felted storage slots keep pieces organised

Each piece fits into a dedicated slot inside the board, preventing loss and reducing contact noise during transport. The top and bottom cover design allows the set to close securely without extra packaging. No assembly is required beyond opening the board and placing the pieces.

Solid wood board resists wear during long sessions

The inlaid veneer construction avoids warping or surface damage after repeated use. Metal pieces maintain their weight and balance without chipping, unlike lighter plastic alternatives. The set remains stable on uneven tables and can be left out as a decorative item between games.
