52-Inch Caged Ceiling Fan

The Amico KDM552301-2 is a 52-inch ceiling fan finished in black with five blades set at a 12-degree pitch. It includes an integrated LED light kit with two E26 sockets supporting up to 30 watts each and ships with a remote control and batteries. The unit mounts via downrod or flush to the ceiling and is rated for indoor use.

Quiet DC Motor and Dimmable Light

A DC motor drives the blades between 60 and 190 RPM while drawing 45 watts at 120 volts. The manufacturer rates operating noise at 35 dB, comparable to rustling leaves, making it suitable for bedrooms or nurseries. The LED light is dimmable across three colour temperatures and the remote offers six speeds plus 1, 2, 4 and 8-hour timer settings.

Replaces Older AC Fans and Fixed-Speed Units

This model upgrades from older AC-motor fans that run louder, consume more power and lack speed granularity or reverse airflow. The jump is worth it when you need whisper-quiet circulation, lower electricity draw and full remote control without rewiring. It does not suit buyers who require outdoor wet-location rating or smart-home voice integration.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 52 inch ceiling fan and what step do people often miss?

Mount the fan to a ceiling box rated for ceiling fans using the downrod or flush-mount hardware, then pair the remote before securing the cage — many forget to pair the remote first.

What maintenance will the Amico KDM552301-2 need later?

The LED light uses two E26 sockets (max 30 W each, bulbs not included) so you will replace bulbs when they dim; the DC motor has a limited lifetime motor warranty and requires no lubrication.

What limit appears first during sustained use of this fan?

The motor runs at 35 dB at top speed (190 RPM) and draws 45 W, so the noise floor and power draw are the first constraints you will notice in continuous operation.
