Scale Model Kit

The AMT AMT1417 is a 1/25 scale plastic model kit of the Chevrolet Titan 90 tractor truck. It is intended for experienced hobbyists who enjoy building detailed commercial vehicle replicas. The kit requires paint and cement to complete, which are not included. This collectible suits adults with patience for complex assembly.

Static Display Piece

As a non-powered scale model, it generates no heat, noise or power draw during construction or display. The build process involves hand assembly of 250 parts using modelling tools and adhesives. Once finished, the model remains a passive shelf piece with no operational requirements. No electrical components are present.

Detailed Construction

Parts are moulded in white with chrome-plated accents and ten hollow vinyl tires on metal axles. The kit includes a supercharged 8V-71 Detroit diesel engine, a heavy-duty frame with tandem rear suspension and a tilting sleeper cab. Builders can choose single or dual exhaust configurations. Colorful decals and vintage-style packaging complete the officially licensed set.

Questions about this item

How do I install the chrome-plated small parts without damaging them?

The chrome-plated small parts are delicate; trim them from the sprue with fine cutters, scrape any flash with a hobby knife, and apply cement sparingly to avoid melting the plating.

What maintenance or replacement will the hollow truck tires need later?

The ten hollow vinyl tires can harden or crack over time; store the finished model away from heat and direct sunlight to slow deterioration.

What limit appears first when the supercharged 8V-71 Detroit diesel engine is displayed under sustained lighting?

The white plastic engine parts may yellow after prolonged exposure to UV light; keep the model in a shaded display case to preserve the original colour.
