Product identity

The AMT NASA Artemis II SLS & Orion kit is a 1/200 scale plastic model intended for adult hobbyists and collectors who enjoy building detailed spacecraft replicas. It arrives as a brand-new, officially licensed set in vintage-style packaging with 38 white-molded parts and colorful decal artwork.

Assembly requirements

Paint and cement are required to complete the model and are not included in the box. The kit provides a sturdy display base for the finished rocket, which stands approximately 19 inches tall when fully assembled.

Display outcome

Once built, the model presents a true-to-scale representation of the Space Launch System and Orion crew spacecraft suitable for shelf display. The kit is not designed for flying, motorisation or interactive play, so buyers seeking a ready-to-fly or electronic toy should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I assemble the 38 parts and what step do builders often get wrong?

Follow the instructions to cement the white-moulded parts in sequence; the most common error is skipping the dry-fit stage, which makes the 19-inch rocket hard to align.

What maintenance will the finished model need?

Dust the assembled kit occasionally with a soft brush; the decals and cemented joints are permanent, so no further replacement parts are required.

What limits how long the model can stay on display?

Prolonged direct sunlight can fade the decal colours and yellow the white plastic over time.
