18-Inch Cash Drawer with Stainless Steel Front

This 18-inch cash drawer is built for retail and restaurant point-of-sale environments that need secure cash storage. The all-metal construction with a stainless steel front panel resists wear in high-traffic settings. A three-position lock and adjustable till support daily cash-handling routines. It connects to compatible POS terminals via a 24V RJ-12 interface.

Under-Counter Mounting and Tray Adjustment

The unit ships with mounting brackets for fixed under-counter installation, which requires basic tools and access to the counter underside. The removable cash tray uses shatter-resistant plastic with metal wire grippers and can be reconfigured for different currency layouts. The direct-drive roller mechanism uses polyurethane for consistent opening action. Media slots accept cheques or large bills without opening the main tray.

24V RJ-12 Interface Compatibility

The drawer operates on a 24-volt signal through an Epson-standard RJ-11 connector, limiting use to POS systems that provide this exact interface. It will not function with USB-only or 12-volt printer ports. Verify that your terminal or receipt printer supplies a 24V RJ-12 kick-out signal before purchase. The physical footprint measures 460 mm wide by 460 mm deep by 100 mm high.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 3-position lock and 24V RJ-12 interface are working after installing the 18-inch drawer?

Open and close the drawer using the POS terminal to trigger the 24V RJ-12 signal; the polyurethane rollers should glide smoothly and the key lock must click securely into the locked, unlocked and receipt-print positions.

What ships with the unit and what must I source separately for an under-counter installation?

The box includes the 18-inch all-metal drawer with stainless steel front, the removable 5-bill 8-coin shatter-resistant tray with metal wire grippers, two media slots and the under-counter mounting brackets; you only need to supply the RJ-12 cable to your POS printer or terminal.

Which version should I choose if I need the 460 mm wide model with a black body and stainless steel front?

This single listing is the 460 mm wide, 460 mm deep, 100 mm high unit in black with a stainless steel front panel; no other width, depth or colour variants are offered for this model.
