Anti-Seize 36551 Thread Sealant Tape
This pipe-thread sealant tape comes in an off-white colour and measures 3/4 in wide by 600 in long. It is rated for temperatures from -400 °F to 550 °F and handles liquid pressures up to 10,000 psi and gas pressures up to 300 psi. The tape suits food-grade sealing applications and threads up to 3/4 in diameter.
POLY-TEMP Ceramic Series For Food Applications
The POLY-TEMP ceramic formulation is designed specifically for food-contact sealing, so it meets hygiene requirements that standard tapes do not. Its density range of 1.2 to 1.5 g/cc provides consistent fill on pipe threads without excess buildup. The material remains stable across the full temperature and pressure envelope.
3/4 Inch Maximum Thread Diameter
This tape is limited to threads no larger than 3/4 in, so it will not seal bigger pipe sizes. Installers working on larger diameters must choose a wider tape or a different sealing method. The 50 ft roll length supplies enough material for many small-bore joints.

Questions about this item
Does the POLY-TEMP ceramic tape need periodic replacement once installed?
The tape is a single-use thread sealant applied during assembly; it remains in the joint until the connection is disassembled, at which point new tape must be applied.
What pressure limit is reached first during continuous service with this 3/4 in wide tape?
The gas-service rating of 300 psi is lower than the 10,000 psi liquid rating, so gas pressure becomes the limiting factor first.
How much heat does the tape generate when a sealed joint runs all day at the 550 °F maximum?
The ceramic-based sealant itself produces no heat; it simply withstands temperatures up to 550 °F without degrading.
