This yellow PTFE thread sealant tape is formulated specifically for gas piping. The 43-foot roll suits residential and light-commercial installations where gas-rated sealing is required. It meets the POLY-TEMP GAS XHD series specification for fuel gas applications.

Sustained load performance

The tape maintains a seal from -400 °F to 550 °F without cold flow or thermal degradation. It withstands 10,000 psi liquid pressure and 2,000 psi gas pressure continuously. Linear density between 1.2 and 1.5 g/cc ensures consistent fill of thread roots under long-term vibration and thermal cycling.

Build quality and daily use

The half-inch width matches standard pipe threads up to 1/2 in diameter for single-wrap coverage. Yellow colour provides instant visual confirmation that a gas-approved product has been used. Supplied as a new roll in the manufacturer’s original packaging.
