Product Identity

Anti-Seize Technology 20002 is a metal-free anti-seize compound supplied in a 2 oz brush-top can. The gray paste is designed to prevent seizing, galling and corrosion on threaded fasteners and mating surfaces in automotive and industrial maintenance tasks.

Who It Suits And Who It Does Not

Mechanics and technicians who need a non-metallic lubricant for stainless steel, aluminium or other sensitive alloys will find this formula appropriate. Buyers who require a copper or nickel-based compound for extreme load-bearing applications should look at alternative products.

Critical Specification

The compound operates continuously from -300 degrees F to 2,400 degrees F, a temperature range that determines whether it matches the thermal demands of the specific assembly.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the anti-seize compound with the brush-top can, and what step do people often miss?

Brush a thin, even coat onto clean, dry threads using the built-in brush; the step most people skip is wiping away old lubricant or corrosion first so the fresh paste bonds directly to metal.

When will the 2 oz can need replacement under normal shop use?

The 2 oz brush-top can lasts until the paste is used up; there is no shelf-life expiration, so replace it only when the container is empty.

At what temperature does the compound start to break down during sustained high-heat exposure?

The paste is rated to 400 degrees F; above that temperature the lubricant can degrade and lose its anti-seize properties.
