High-output halogen lamp for studio use

This 750 watt halogen bulb operates at 120 volts and produces 20000 lumens at a 3200K colour temperature. It uses a P28s medium prefocus base and a T7 envelope designed for film, stage and studio fixtures. The lamp is rated for 200 hours of service life.

Limited lifespan and heat output constrain

The 200 hour rating means frequent replacement in continuous production environments. A colour rendering index of 100 delivers accurate colour reproduction, yet the high wattage generates substantial heat that requires fixtures rated for the load. The 120 volt specification restricts use to compatible mains supplies.

Verify fixture base, voltage and thermal capacity

Confirm the luminaire accepts a P28s medium prefocus base and is rated for 750 watts at 120 volts. Ensure the enclosure can dissipate the heat produced during operation. Check that the 3200K output matches the colour balance required for the shoot or venue.

Questions about this item

Is the 750-watt version the right choice for my studio fixture?

Choose this 750-watt lamp only if your fixture is rated for 750 watts at 120 volts and accepts a P28s base; exceeding the fixture rating risks damage.

What does the 20,000-lumen output mean on set?

At 20,000 lumens this lamp delivers very high output for key or flood lighting, but the 200-hour life means frequent replacement during long productions.

How does the P28s medium prefocus base limit compatibility?

The P28s base fits only sockets made for that specific prefocus pin spacing; it will not seat in standard Edison or bi-pin holders.
