UV-C Germicidal Bulb for Sterilisation

The Bulbamerica GFT24DL delivers 24 watts of UV-C output at 254 nm through a single T4 tube with a 2G11 four-pin base. It is intended for air, water or surface disinfection systems that require ozone-free operation. The special outer glass absorbs lower wavelengths to prevent ozone formation during use.

Practical Limits of UV-C Disinfection

Effectiveness drops sharply outside the 254 nm peak, so the lamp must match the fixture's spectral requirements exactly. The 8,000-hour rated life defines the replacement interval; output decays before visible failure. Ozone suppression is built into the glass, not an external filter, so the tube itself must remain intact.

Replaces 24 W 2G11 T4 Germicidal Lamps

This bulb is a direct swap for existing 24 W 2G11 single-tube models such as the 20849 reference. The upgrade is worth it when the current lamp has reached its rated hours or when ozone-sensitive environments demand the outer-glass absorption feature. It does not fit 2G7 or other base types.
