1" x 1" x 1/4" Cast Iron Reducing Tee
The Anvil 0300037405 is a Class 125 cast iron reducing tee with FNPT connections for plumbing drain systems. It joins a 1/4-inch branch to two 1-inch runs in residential or commercial installations. The fitting meets ASME B16.4 and carries UL and FM approvals. It is supplied new for immediate use.
Pressure headroom up to 175 psi and 150 °F
Rated for 175 psi at temperatures from -20 °F to 150 °F, the tee handles typical water and saturated steam lines at 125 psi. Cast iron construction resists corrosion in standard drainage service. The Class 125 rating defines its maximum working pressure. Higher-pressure or higher-temperature systems exceed its certified limits.
Replaces worn or mismatched drain tees
This fitting upgrades from damaged, leaking or incorrectly sized tees in existing cast iron drain networks. The jump is worth it when a 1/4-inch branch is required on a 1-inch main and the system operates within Class 125 parameters. It does not suit applications needing larger branch sizes or pressures beyond 175 psi.

Questions about this item
Will the 1 in FNPT ends thread onto my existing 1 in galvanised nipples without leaks?
The tee uses 1 in FNPT threads on the two run ports, matching standard NPT pipe threads, so it will connect directly to 1 in male NPT nipples or fittings.
How can I confirm the Class 125 rating is holding at 175 psi after installation?
Pressurise the system to the working pressure of 175 psi at ambient temperature and inspect all three FNPT joints for weeping; the casting meets ASME B16.4 and carries UL/FM approval for that rating.
Does the box include any gaskets or sealant for the 1/4 in branch connection?
Only the cast iron reducing tee itself is supplied; thread sealant or tape for the 1/4 in FNPT branch and the two 1 in FNPT run ports must be purchased separately.
