1" x 1/2" x 1" Cast Iron Reducing Tee
This Anvil reducing tee connects three female NPT pipes at a junction where the branch line is half the diameter of the main run. The cast iron body meets ASME B16.4 and carries UL and FM approvals for fire‑protection and general plumbing service. It suits installers who need a durable, code‑compliant transition in a single fitting.
Rated 175 psi at 150 °F and 125 psi saturated steam
The Class 125 rating limits use to 175 psi from −20 °F up to 150 °F and 125 psi for saturated steam. Cast iron construction means the fitting is not suitable for potable water systems or highly corrosive fluids without additional protection. Threaded FNPT ends require proper sealant and torque to maintain the pressure seal.
Replaces separate reducer and tee assemblies
Using one reducing tee eliminates the extra nipple, coupling and labour of joining a standard tee to a concentric reducer. The jump is worth it whenever a 1" main line drops to a 1/2" branch, saving space, potential leak paths and installation time. It does not serve systems that require a larger branch or a different thread standard.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 1" x 1/2" x 1" reducing tee or a different size?
Choose this tee when you need to branch a 1/2" line off a 1" main while keeping the run at 1". The three FNPT ports match that exact reduction.
What does the 175 psi rating mean once the tee is installed?
It is the maximum non-shock cold-water pressure the casting can handle at temperatures between -20 °F and 150 °F.
How do the FNPT threads and ASME B 16.4 standard limit the connection?
The female NPT threads seal with taper engagement, and the ASME B 16.4 class 125 rating caps the design pressure at 175 psi from -20 °F to 150 °F.
