The Anvil 0310017009 is a 90-degree street elbow made from malleable iron for Class 150 piping systems. It connects a 1-1/2 inch female NPT thread to a male NPT thread in drain and trap installations. The fitting meets ASME B 16.3 standards and carries UL and FM approvals for pressure service.

Installation uses standard NPT threading practice

Apply pipe-thread sealant or tape to the male threads before engaging the female end. Tighten to the recommended turns-past-hand-tight for 1-1/2 inch NPT to avoid cracking the malleable iron. Over-tightening is the most common cause of leaks or fitting damage in this size.
