Anvil 1/4" FNPT Galvanized Cross Class 150

This Anvil cross coupling connects four 1/4-inch female NPT threads in a galvanized malleable iron body rated Class 150. It suits Schedule 40 piping systems with a maximum operating pressure of 300 psi at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. The fitting is new and designed for standard plumbing installations.

Suits four-way pipe junctions needing threaded

Installers who require a cross with different thread sizes, a higher pressure class, or a material such as brass or stainless steel should select another fitting. Projects that need welded, flanged, or press-connect ends are not served by this NPT-threaded model. Buyers wanting a coupling, tee, or elbow rather than a cross must choose a different configuration.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum operating pressure this Class 150 cross coupling can handle at 150 degrees F?

The fitting is rated for 300 psi at 150 degrees F, which is the highest pressure it should see in continuous service.

How much heat can the galvanized malleable iron body take before the 300 psi rating no longer applies?

The 300 psi rating is specified at 150 degrees F; above that temperature the allowable pressure drops, so the fitting should not be run hotter if full pressure is needed.
