Anvil 90 Degree Forged Steel Elbow

The Anvil 0361100407 is a black forged steel 90 degree elbow rated for Class 3000 service. It connects two female NPT threads of 1/4 inch size. The fitting suits pipe schedule 160 and handles 2,000 psi at 150 degrees F maximum operating pressure. It is intended for high-pressure piping systems requiring a directional change.

Simple threaded installation with sealant

Installation requires only standard pipe thread sealant or tape applied to the male threads before tightening into the female NPT ports. Over-tightening can crack the forged steel body or strip the threads. The 90 degree turn demands adequate clearance in the pipe run. Buyers needing a straight coupling or a different pressure class should select another fitting.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the forged steel elbow is handling pressure correctly after installation?

Pressurise the system up to 2,000 psi at 150 °F and check the 1/4 in female NPT joints for leaks; no weeping means the Class 3000 fitting is working as intended.

What comes with the 90 degree elbow and what must I supply?

The box contains the single black forged steel elbow with two 1/4 in female NPT ends; you must provide Schedule 160 pipe, thread sealant and any nipples or valves needed to complete the run.
