SKU CH-QPF7-P69Q0

Galvanized malleable iron reducer coupling connects 1 in and 3/4 in NPT pipe at Class 150 pressure rating

  • Reduces pipe diameter from 1 in to 3/4 in NPT
  • Galvanized malleable iron resists corrosion in water lines
  • Class 150 rated for 300 psi at 150 °F
  • Compatible with Schedule 40 pipe for standard installations

Galvanized Malleable Iron Reducer Coupling

The Anvil 1125 is a Class 150 reducing coupling made from galvanized malleable iron. It joins a 1 inch female NPT pipe to a 3/4 inch female NPT pipe. Rated for 300 psi at 150 degrees F, it suits Schedule 40 piping in water, air or gas lines. Plumbers and maintenance crews use it where a straight size transition is required.

Fits standard NPT threads without adapters

The coupling threads directly onto Schedule 40 pipe with matching NPT ends. No welding, flanges or special tools are needed beyond pipe wrenches and thread sealant. It frees the installer from fabricating custom reducers and keeps the joint compact in tight runs. Not suited for pressures above the Class 150 rating or for pipes with non-NPT threads.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum pressure the Class 150 coupling can handle at 150 °F?

The fitting is rated for 300 psi at 150 °F, which is the highest sustained pressure allowed under normal operating conditions.

Does the galvanized malleable iron body get hot enough to require insulation during continuous flow?

The metal will reach the fluid temperature, so at the 150 °F limit the coupling itself becomes too hot to touch safely and should be insulated if personnel contact is possible.
