Compact G23 UV germicidal lamp

The Anyray PL-S9W/TUV is a 9-watt plug-in lamp with a G23 bi-pin base designed for germicidal disinfection. It emits short-wave UVC radiation peaking at 253.7 nm and is certified 100% ozone-free. The unit carries EPA Est. No. 100578-WA-1 and suits residential or light commercial sterilisation fixtures.

Simple bi-pin installation

The lamp snaps directly into a compatible G23 socket without tools or wiring. Its moulded single-snap base ensures a secure fit in standard PL-S9W/TUV fixtures. The only common issue is inserting the pins at an angle, which can bend the delicate bi-pin contacts and prevent the lamp from striking.

Voltage range and replacement cycle

The ballast accepts inputs from 110 V up to 240 V, covering 120 V, 130 V, 220 V and 230 V mains without adjustment. UVC output degrades over time, so the manufacturer suggests replacement every six to eight months to maintain effective irradiance. It is not suited for applications requiring visible illumination or ozone generation.
