What it is and who it fits

This pack supplies two braided USB A to USB C cables built for 10 Gbps data transfer and 60 W charging. They connect external SSDs, hard drives, tablets and phones to a standard USB A port on a computer or car charger.

The spec that decides fit

Each cable handles up to 10 Gbps and 3 A at 60 W, so it suits devices that need that throughput and power level. Buyers whose gear requires a USB C to USB C link or a longer reach will need a different cable.

Questions about this item

What does the 10Gbps rating mean when I plug an external SSD into my laptop?

It allows file transfers up to 1250MB/s so large media folders move in seconds, provided both the drive and the host port support USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds.

The cable is labelled USB 3.1 Gen 2 — what does that cap in practice?

USB-IF renamed that spec to USB 3.2 Gen 2 in 2019; the cable therefore delivers the same 10Gbps ceiling for data and up to 60W at 3A for charging.
