What this cable is

This two-pack of USB-A to USB-C right-angle cables measures 3.3 feet each and supports USB 3.1 and 3.2 Gen 2 data rates up to 10 Gbps. They also deliver up to 60 W at 3 A for fast charging when paired with a suitable power adapter. Aluminium housings, reinforced connectors and a nylon braided jacket are tested to 10,000 plug cycles and 10,000 bend cycles.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

The right-angle design helps in tight spaces behind desks, in vehicles or when using a device while it charges. Buyers who need a straight connector, a longer reach than 3.3 feet, or a cable that works with iPhone or micro-USB devices should choose a different product.

The specification that decides fit

The cable is rated for 10 Gbps data transfer and 60 W power delivery over a USB-A to USB-C connection. If your host port or peripheral only supports 5 Gbps or lower power, the cable will still work but will not provide its maximum rated performance.

Questions about this item

Will the right-angle USB-C plug clear a 10 mm gap beside my laptop port?

The moulded right-angle connector adds only a few millimetres beyond the port face, so it fits in tight clearances where a straight plug would hit the chassis.

Do I need to install any driver for the 10 Gbps data rate on Windows 10?

No driver is required; the cable uses the standard USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface built into the OS, so plug it in and the 10 Gbps link negotiates automatically.

How often should I replace the cables if I plug and unplug them daily?

Each cable is rated for 10000 insertion cycles and 10000 bend cycles, so even with daily connect-disconnect they should last several years before wear becomes an issue.
