Mini DIN 9-pin S-VIDEO cable

This 2-metre male-to-male cable carries S-VIDEO signals between legacy game consoles, sound cards and audio equipment. The nine-pin Mini DIN connectors mate with the round ports found on older AV gear. One-piece injection moulding and environmentally friendly rubber sheathing protect the internal conductors. No copper wire is used in the construction.

Capacity and headroom

The cable is rated for 300 V and an operating temperature up to +80 °C, providing ample headroom for standard line-level video and audio signals. Nine cores plus a single conductor and aluminium shielding (9C+1+AL) handle the luminance, chroma and ground paths required by S-VIDEO. Runs longer than 2 metres may introduce signal loss not covered by this specification.
