One-way video conversion only

The adapter functions in a single direction from a USB 3.1 Type-C source operating in DisplayPort Alternate Mode to a Mini DisplayPort display. It does not carry Thunderbolt 2 data or power delivery to the source device. Existing Mini DisplayPort cables can be reused without additional software. The aluminium finish provides a durable plug-and-play connection for 4K UHD video output.

Limited to DisplayPort Alternate Mode sources

The adapter only operates when the host USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode; it will not work with USB-C ports that lack video output capability. Thunderbolt 2 peripherals and daisy-chaining are not supported. Operating temperature range is 0 to 65 degrees Celsius with relative humidity of 5% to 95%. No Thunderbolt 2 data tunnel or power negotiation is provided.
