Front-panel USB 3.0 adapter
This cable converts a rear-panel USB 3.0 Type-A port into a standard 20-pin header so the front-panel USB ports on a chassis can be connected. It is intended for builders whose motherboard lacks a native 20-pin USB 3.0 header but provides a spare rear Type-A socket.
9-core shielded construction
The assembly uses USB-IF 9-core tinned copper conductors wrapped in aluminium foil and braided shielding to reduce signal loss and oxidation. The manufacturer states the length was tuned to minimise differential-signal reflection and that every unit passes a 100 percent electrical test.
Simple plug-in installation
No tools or drivers are required; the 19-pin plug seats in the rear Type-A port and the 20-pin connector mates with the chassis front-panel header. Builders should verify pin orientation before applying force, as reversed insertion is the most common cause of non-detection.

Questions about this item
Will the 19-pin connectors or the 20-pin plug wear out from repeated front-panel insertions?
The cable uses 9-core tinned copper wire with aluminum-foil and braided double shielding for oxidation resistance, so the connectors are built to withstand normal front-panel connection cycles.
What limits sustained throughput when the cable runs at USB 3.0 speeds all day?
Signal integrity is the limiting factor; the design optimises wire length and double shielding to minimise differential-signal loss and prevent high-frequency rebound during continuous USB 3.0 transfers.
Does the cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during all-day operation?
The cable is passive with no active electronics, so it adds no measurable heat or power draw beyond the USB 3.0 devices connected through it.
