Two-pack 6.6 ft right-angle USB-C cable

This pack contains two 6.6 ft USB-C to USB-C cables with right-angle connectors. Each cable meets the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 standard and delivers up to 20 Gbps data transfer. It also supports 100 W Power Delivery charging and 4K video output at 60 Hz.

Suited for high-speed peripherals and charging

The cables work well with devices that need fast data rates, such as Thunderbolt external SSDs, and with laptops or phones that accept 100 W PD charging. They also drive 4K monitors at 60 Hz when the host port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Buyers whose devices only offer USB 2.0 or USB 3.1 ports will not reach the 20 Gbps speed.

Deciding specification: 20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2

The single figure that determines fit is the 20 Gbps peak throughput of the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface. If the connected hardware cannot run at that rate, the cable will fall back to lower speeds and the extra bandwidth will not be used.

Questions about this item

What speed does the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface cap at in practice?

The cable is built to the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 standard and can reach 20Gbps when both host and device support that mode, otherwise it falls back to USB 3.1, 3.0 or 2.0 speeds.

What physical clearance does the right-angle connector need?

The right-angle USB-C plug sits flush against the device, so it fits in tight spaces behind monitors, laptops or headsets where a straight connector would bend or block adjacent ports.

How do I get 4K@60Hz video through this cable, and what step is often missed?

The host USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode; without that the cable will only carry power and data, not video.
