USB4 40 Gbps cable with 240 W charging

This three-metre USB4 Type-C male to female extension cable delivers up to 40 Gbps bandwidth and supports Intel Thunderbolt 3 protocol. It carries up to 240 W of power at 48 V and 5 A, making it suitable for fast-charging phones, accessories and gaming laptops. The right-angle male connector features ear screws for secure panel mounting.

Check host and device capabilities before ordering

The cable is rated for USB 4.0 speeds, but actual transfer rates depend on the host and device supporting the same standard. For 8K UHD video at 60 Hz or dual 4K monitor output, both the source and display must provide the required DisplayPort Alt Mode bandwidth. Length beyond the 1.2 m USB4 specification may reduce signal performance, so verify your layout can accommodate the longer run.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

As a passive copper cable it generates no audible noise and adds negligible heat during data or charging operation. Power delivery of up to 240 W is handled by the connectors and internal conductors, which remain within safe temperatures under typical loads. No active cooling or external power supply is required for normal use.

Questions about this item

Does the 3 m cable come with any mounting hardware or do I need to buy the panel screws separately?

The cable has a side-bend male plug and a female receptacle with ear screws already attached, so no extra mounting hardware is required.

Should I choose this 3 m length or a shorter cable for full 40 Gbps speed?

The USB4 standard guarantees 40 Gbps up to 1.2 m; at 3 m the cable still works but maximum throughput may be lower.

What does the 240 W rating mean when I plug this into my laptop and monitor?

It can deliver up to 48 V at 5 A, enough to fast-charge gaming laptops while simultaneously driving an 8K 60 Hz display.
