Three-phase rack PDU for dense server rows

The APC AP7599 is a basic rack power distribution unit that delivers 208 V AC three-phase power at 14.4 kVA through a 10 ft cord. It provides 24 IEC 320-C13 outlets, four IEC 320-C19 outlets and two NEMA L6-30R receptacles for mixed-density equipment. The unit mounts in a standard rack using the included toolless brackets.

Replaces single-phase strips when phase balance

Moving from a single-phase 208 V strip to this three-phase unit spreads 40 A per phase across three legs, reducing per-phase loading and cable bulk. The jump is worth it when your row draws near 14.4 kVA and you need both C13 and C19 density without adding a second PDU. It does not suit cabinets limited to single-phase feeds or rows that require metered or switched outlets.

Toolless rack install with cord retention

The toolless mounting kit and included brackets let one person secure the 70.00" long chassis in minutes; the cord retention brackets clamp the 10 ft input lead to prevent accidental disconnection. Common issues are forgetting to balance loads across the three phases, which can trip the 50 A per-phase input breaker, and exceeding the 40 A per-phase output limit on the C13/C19 branches.
