NetShelter SX 750mm server chassis

The APC AR7716 is a 750mm wide by 1200mm deep server chassis designed for networking equipment installations. It suits data-centre managers who need a deep enclosure for structured cabling and high-density hardware.

Toolless reversible roof design

The roof section installs without tools and can be reversed to suit cable routing from either direction. This flexibility reduces deployment time and simplifies later reconfiguration of overhead cable pathways.

Fixed 750mm by 1200mm footprint

The chassis dimensions are fixed at 750mm width and 1200mm depth, limiting placement to floor tiles or aisles that accommodate this exact footprint. Installers must verify aisle clearance and weight-bearing capacity before deployment.

Questions about this item

Does the AR7716 roof require any periodic maintenance or replacement parts?

The toolless, reversible roof is a passive structural component with no moving parts, filters or consumables, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement items are needed.

What is the first physical limit reached when the AR7716 roof is used continuously in a fully populated rack?

The roof adds no active cooling or power, so the first limit is the rack’s own airflow capacity and the 750 mm by 1200 mm footprint that defines maximum equipment depth and cable routing space.

How much noise, heat or power does the AR7716 roof contribute when the rack runs all day?

The roof is a passive metal panel with no fans or electronics, so it adds zero decibels, zero watts and no measurable heat to the rack environment.
