19-inch 2U cable manager

The APC AR8600A is a horizontal cable management accessory built for standard 19-inch racks. It occupies 2U of vertical space and provides structured routing for data cables inside an enclosure. The black finish matches typical rack aesthetics. It suits network administrators and installers who need tidy cable pathways in server rooms or data cabinets.

High-capacity finger design

The unit uses a high-capacity cable finger layout that separates and protects individual cables during routing. Double-sided capability allows cables to be managed on both faces of the panel. A cover is included to shield cables and maintain a clean appearance. The design promotes trouble-free access when adding or removing connections.

Bundled cover and finger guides

The supplied cover snaps on to conceal cables and reduce snag risk during maintenance. Integrated finger guides keep bundles aligned without extra ties or wraps. These included parts eliminate the need for separate cable management accessories. Installers can complete a neat rack build using only what ships in the box.

Questions about this item

How is the AR8600A mounted in a 19-inch rack and which step is commonly missed?

The 19-inch panel mounts using the front rack rails; the step often missed is securing the rear bracket to the back rails for the 18.3-inch depth so the 2U unit does not sag.

What ongoing maintenance does the AR8600A cable manager require?

Periodically check that the high-capacity fingers and cover latch stay intact; replace any cracked fingers or a broken cover to keep cables protected and routed cleanly.

What physical limit appears first when the AR8600A is fully loaded with cables over time?

The 4.3-inch height and 3.5-inch width of the 2U space fill first; once the finger channels are packed, adding more cables risks cover misalignment and restricted airflow.
