Rack Automatic Transfer Switch

The APC NetShelter Rack Automatic Transfer Switch provides redundant power for single-corded network equipment in a 1U form factor. It accepts two 200-208V 20A L6-20 inputs and distributes power through eight C13 outlets and one C19 outlet.

Installation and common issues

The unit includes mounting hardware and rack brackets for standard 19-inch racks. A serial configuration cable is supplied for initial setup. Installers must verify that both input sources are on the same phase to avoid transfer problems.

Capacity and headroom

The switch supports a combined load up to 20 amps at 200-208 volts across the nine outlets. It cleanly transfers between sources within milliseconds for typical network loads. The single C19 outlet limits very high-draw devices to one position.
