Rack-mount PDU for 30 A circuits
The APC SBP3000RM distributes 120 V AC power through five outlets in a 1U rack-mountable chassis. It connects to a 100 V to 125 V AC source via an 8 ft cord terminated with a NEMA L5-30P plug. The unit is suited for server rooms and network closets that need a compact, hard-wired power strip.
Input limited to 125 V AC and 30 A
The PDU accepts a maximum of 125 V AC and draws up to 30 A per phase through its single input connection. Output voltage remains fixed at 120 V AC. Any installation must provide a dedicated 30 A branch circuit and a compatible locking receptacle.
Five outlets split between two receptacle types
One NEMA L5-30R locking outlet and four NEMA 5-20R straight-blade outlets share the 3 kVA rating. Equipment requiring a locking connector and standard 20 A plugs can be powered simultaneously, but total load must not exceed the 30 A input limit.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 30 A model or a lower-amperage PDU?
This unit is a single 30 A, 3 kVA model with a NEMA L5-30P input and five output receptacles. Choose it when your rack equipment draws up to 30 A at 120 V.
What does the 3 kVA rating mean for my connected servers?
The 3 kVA rating equals 30 A at 120 V, so the PDU can supply up to 3 000 VA of apparent power to the four NEMA 5-20R and one NEMA L5-30R outlets combined.
How does the NEMA L5-30P input limit what I can plug in?
The NEMA L5-30P plug requires a matching 30 A, 120 V locking receptacle on your UPS or wall circuit; it caps total input current at 30 A per phase.
