Splitter Cable Kit RJ-12 5 ft

The APG Cash Drawer CD-D1D2EP is a beige splitter cable kit designed for point-of-sale cash handling systems. It provides a single RJ-12 connection that branches to two RJ-12 ends over a 5.00 ft length. The kit includes one adapter unit suited for linking a cash drawer to a receipt printer or POS terminal.

Installers needing one drawer on one port

This kit suits technicians who must connect a single cash drawer to an RJ-12 port already occupied by another peripheral. It is not for setups requiring more than two RJ-12 connections or for installations where a longer cable run than 1.52 m is needed. Buyers needing a different connector type should look elsewhere.

Beige adapter with dual RJ-12 ends

The bundled adapter splits the signal path into two RJ-12 plugs, allowing the drawer to share the port without a powered hub. The 5.00 ft beige cable keeps the routing tidy at the counter. No software or drivers are included; the hardware functions as a passive physical layer connection.

Questions about this item

What RJ-12 devices must I already have to use this splitter cable kit?

You need two RJ-12 peripherals such as cash drawers or printers and a host with a single RJ-12 port to connect both through the 5.00 ft cable.

Will this beige splitter work with older RJ-12 cash drawers I already own?

Yes, both ends are standard RJ-12 so legacy drawers plug straight in without adapters.

How can I verify the splitter is functioning after I connect everything?

Open each attached drawer from the POS software; both should fire reliably over the 1.52 m link.
