Bronze Ball Valve Trap — 3/8 in Sweat
The Apollo 70LF-202-01 is a straight-pattern, two-piece bronze ball valve with sweat ends for 3/8 inch copper tube. It uses a chrome-plated bronze ball and a non-locking handle for manual two-way flow control. Rated for 600 psi water, oil or air and 150 psi saturated steam, it also holds a 29 in Hg vacuum. Lead-free construction meets California Proposition 65 disclosure requirements.
Suitable for residential
Installers who need a compact shut-off on 3/8 inch copper lines for water, air or low-pressure steam will find this valve fits the job. It is not for systems that require a locking handle, three-way diversion or a full-port flow path. Builders needing combustible-gas approval or 3-A sanitary compliance must select a different component.
Maximum working pressure 600 psi water/air
The 600 psi cold-water rating is the primary figure that determines whether the valve matches the system design pressure. Steam service is limited to 150 psi, and vacuum duty stops at 29 in Hg. Verify the design pressure against these limits before specifying the part.

Questions about this item
Does the chrome-plated bronze ball or the bronze body need periodic replacement under normal water service?
The chrome-plated bronze ball and bronze body are designed for continuous service with air or water; no scheduled replacement interval is required for these components.
Will the 600 psi pressure rating or the 150 psi steam limit be reached first in a hot-water recirculation loop?
The 150 psi steam rating is the lower limit, so sustained high-temperature water will hit that ceiling before the 600 psi cold-water rating.
How much heat does the valve body radiate when it stays open all day in a 3/8 in line?
The bronze body conducts heat from the fluid but has no internal heat source; surface temperature will match the media temperature in the line.
