A compact tablet for everyday use

The 10.2 inch Retina display with IPS technology delivers 2160 x 1620 resolution at 264 PPI and 500 nits brightness. An oleophobic coating resists fingerprints during daily handling. The A12 Bionic chip with hexa-core architecture runs iPadOS 14 smoothly for common tasks. This configuration suits students and casual users who want a straightforward iPad experience.

Aluminium chassis with Lightning connectivity

The enclosure measures 1.2 units in weight and uses Apple's Lightning port for charging and accessory attachment. Bluetooth 4.2 supports wireless keyboards, headphones and other peripherals. Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac provides network access at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil connect physically but are sold separately.

Efficient thermal design for quiet operation

The A12 Bionic chip operates without active cooling, so the tablet stays silent during normal use. A 32.4 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery supplies up to 10 hours of mixed activity on a single charge. Surface temperatures remain comfortable during extended sessions. The power-efficient architecture balances performance and battery longevity.
