10.9" Retina Display Tablet

The Apple iPad 10.9" 64GB Blue tablet is a new 10th generation device featuring a 10.9-inch Multi-Touch Retina display with 2360 x 1640 resolution at 264 ppi. It runs on the Apple A14 Bionic chip with 8GB of memory and 64GB of built-in storage. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2, plus USB-C for accessories.

Students and Mobile Professionals

This tablet suits users who need a portable device for web browsing, media consumption, video calls, and light productivity tasks using iPadOS. It supports Apple Pencil (1st Gen) for note-taking and drawing. Buyers who need cellular connectivity, significantly larger internal storage, or a desktop-class operating system for specialised software should look at other options.

Sustained Workload Behaviour

The A14 Bionic chip handles multitasking and typical workloads such as document editing, streaming, and video conferencing without thermal throttling during normal session lengths. The 64GB storage capacity fills quickly with large media libraries or offline content, requiring cloud offloading. Battery life supports all-day mixed use, though intensive tasks like continuous 12MP video recording will reduce runtime between charges.

Questions about this item

Do I need a computer to activate this iPad?

No, the iPad activates over Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 during its on-screen setup, so a separate computer is not required.

Will my first-generation Apple Pencil work with the USB-C port on this iPad?

The iPad supports Apple Pencil (1st Gen) via its USB-C port; a USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter is needed to pair and charge the pencil.

How can I confirm the Retina display is showing the correct 2360 x 1640 resolution at 264 ppi?

Open Settings > General > About and check the Model Name, then view a high-resolution image; sharp text and detail at 264 ppi confirm the panel is operating as specified.
