11-inch iPad with A16 chip

The 11-inch iPad with A16 chip is a portable tablet built for students, creatives and everyday users who want a responsive touch-screen experience. It handles web browsing, media streaming, note-taking and light content creation with 256 GB of onboard storage. The USB-C connector supports charging and accessory attachment.

Passive cooling and all-day battery

The A16 chip runs without a fan so the device stays silent during normal workloads such as document editing or video playback. All-day battery life means typical mixed use lasts through a full working day without needing a recharge. The USB-C port handles power delivery for the included charger.

iPadOS multitasking and Apple Pencil support

iPadOS lets you run multiple apps side by side and use Stage Manager for overlapping windows. Scribble converts Apple Pencil handwriting into typed text in any text field. The 12 MP front and rear cameras enable document scanning and video calls. Wi-Fi 6 provides compatible wireless connectivity.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 11-inch iPad with the A16 chip for the first time, and what step is commonly missed?

Turn it on, follow the on-screen prompts to connect to Wi-Fi 6, then sign in with an Apple ID; many people skip the True Tone calibration screen and later notice the display looks too cool in warm light.

Which component of the 256 GB model is most likely to need replacement after a few years of daily charging?

The built-in lithium-ion battery is the part that degrades first; when it holds noticeably less charge, a service provider can replace it while keeping your data intact.

What performance limit appears first when I edit 12 MP video continuously on the A16 chip?

Sustained heavy rendering causes the system to throttle the A16 to manage heat, so export times gradually increase until the tablet cools down.
