Refurbished iPad 2 for everyday use

This refurbished Apple iPad 2 delivers a 9.7 inch touchscreen and 16GB of storage in a black finish. It suits anyone needing a simple tablet for web browsing, email, video playback or light apps. The A5 dual-core processor handles basic multitasking and FaceTime calls without fuss. Buyers who want more storage or modern iOS support should consider other options.

16GB storage capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 16GB internal memory, which cannot be expanded. Apps, photos and offline media must stay within this limit, so heavy media libraries or large game collections will not fit. Cloud services can offset the constraint for documents and streaming. Check your typical usage before ordering.

Simple setup with Apple ID

Turn the tablet on, connect to Wi-Fi and sign in with an Apple ID to reach the App Store and iCloud. The 30-pin dock connector charges the battery and syncs data with a computer. A worn connector or degraded battery are the most common faults on refurbished units of this age. Test charging and port reliability on arrival.

Questions about this item

How long will the 10-hour battery last when I'm using the tablet for web browsing and video?

The 10-hour battery life covers web surfing, email, video playback and reading, giving enough charge for a long flight or a full day of mixed use.

What does the 33 percent thinner design mean for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas?

The slimmer case still houses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so wireless range and pairing work as they did on the original iPad.

Will the 9.7-inch display fit in a standard tablet mount or stand?

The 9.7-inch screen matches the original iPad footprint, so most universal tablet stands and mounts sized for that model will hold it securely.
