16 GB Wi-Fi tablet for light use

The 4th generation iPad with model A1458 delivers a 9.7 inch Retina display at 2048 by 1535 resolution with 264 pixels per inch. It runs on a dual-core A6X processor with quad-core graphics and 1 GB of DDR2 RAM. The system ships with iOS and supports iOS 9, providing access to iCloud, Siri, AirPlay and AirPrint.

Students and casual readers needing a basic iOS

This tablet suits anyone who wants a lightweight 9.7 inch screen for web browsing, email, video playback and FaceTime HD calls over Wi-Fi. The 16 GB capacity and single-band 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless limit its usefulness for people who store large media libraries, need cellular data away from hotspots, or require modern app support beyond iOS 9.

16 GB fixed storage decides fit

Built-in capacity is 16 GB with no expansion slot, so the entire app library, photo roll and offline content must fit inside that space. Buyers who need more room for games, movies or documents should look at a model with larger storage, while users who rely on cloud services and stream most media will find the amount adequate.
